Players Leave/Players Stay

Peter Collinge, Mike Eckersley, Rob Henry and Chris Ward have all informed the club they are all moving on.

Goalkeeper Collinge, who joined the Magpies from Clitheroe, has decided to sign for Mossley; Eckersley has rejoined Gerry Luczka at Radcliffe Borough while Henry and Ward have both moved up the M6 to join Tony Heskeths Lancaster City.

Of the other players at the club, both central defenders, James Mullineux and Chris Smalley, along with Danny Nolan are the first to announce they are staying.  Nolan in fact has turned down offers from other clubs to stay at Victory Park.

New manager Steve Waywell has also revealed that injured duo Martin Clark and Lee Shillito are both part of his plans for next season and this is also on the lookout for four or five new faces to boost the squad.

He is also in the process of contacting Roger Sharrock and Adam Farrell amongst other to encourage them to stay at the club.

Also, the reserve side will under new management next season.  Lee Merrick, who last season managed both the reserves and first teams at Leigh Genesis, will be taking over for the new campaign.
